It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of John Zabielski, on January 18, 2025, at the age of 77. Born on January 28, 1947, in Poland, John immigrated to Canada, where he built a life full of love, family, and cherished memories.
John was married to his beloved wife, Teresa, for 55 years. He was a devoted father to his children, Derek (Laurie), Patricia (Patrick). He took great pride in being a grandfather to his grandchildren, Zachary and Lauren, who brought him great joy.
John is survived by his mother, Halina, and his sisters, Mirka and Liz (Ronnie), along with his nephews Mark (Trish) and Jeffrey (Emily), his niece Katelyn (Vito) and their families. He was preceded in death by his father, Stanley.
John’s family and friends will forever hold his memory close, and he will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
Friends may call at the Simple Alternative Funeral Centre on Sunday, January 27, 2025 from 5 – 9 p.m. with a Rosary to begin at 8:15 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Maximiliam Kolbe Parish, 4260 Cawthra Road, Mississauga on Monday January 28 at 9:30 a.m. Interment to follow at Assumption Catholic Cemetery, 6933 Tomken Road, Mississauga.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in John’s name be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation and Hospice Mississauga. The family expresses their sincere gratitude for the outpouring of love, prayers, and support during this difficult time.
