In memory of

John Tsaconas

March 13, 1949 -  May 26, 2020

It is with great sadness and heavy hearts we announce the passing of our beloved John Tsaconas. After a brave battle, John succumbed to cancer on Tuesday, May 26, 2020. He died peacefully at home surrounded by family.

Caring husband of Sofia "Efi" (nee Nifakos). Devoted father of Peter (Lesley), and Garry (Isabel). Sepfather of Aris Tsafoulias and Maria Pulsoni.
Doting grandfather to six beautiful children.

Born in a small village in southern Greece, John moved to Canada in 1966.

He became enamoured with the big city life, collecting long-lasting memories in Yorkville's music scene and the city's circuit of movie theaters and billiard halls.

With lots of hard, honest work, John went on to become a successful businessman in the food and automotive industries.

He will be remembered by family and friends for his kindhearted and generous spirit. John had the special gift of making people feel welcome and appreciated.

His glowing presence will be sadly missed.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or The Hospital for Sick Children.

May he rest in peace.

John was a great man and we all at the Breakfast club loved his company: his goodness , his kindness ,his knowledge in many subjects .John had a full life with many experiences. He touched many lives, none more than of his kids, who would occasionally have breakfast with us older gentlemen. You could see how they loved and adored their father .John was also a great husband to Efi they loved each other. We all are going to miss you Yanni may God bless your soul !

John was one of our dearest and most beloved friends. He was kind, thoughtful, generous and welcoming in every way. We will never forget the good times we had together, our laughs and conversations over brunches, dinners, and the travels we shared. He will always be in our hearts and in our thoughts and we will never forget him.
