Passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Wednesday August 23, 2017 at The Scarborough and Rouge Hospital - Centenary at the age of 82. Loving husband of Rozella ( 59 years). Cherished father of Jackie, Jo-ann (Mark), Jeanette (Steve), and Michelle (Kevin). Devoted opa of Patrick, Michael, Cody, Johnathan, Jessica, Emilie, Brendan, Josef, Joshua, and Blake. Special great-opa of Maddie. John will be fondly remembered by his extended family in friends in Canada, Venice Florida, and Munich Germany. Family and friends can be received at The Simple Alternative Funeral Centre -1057 Brock Road, Pickering (Brock Road & 401) on Monday August 28, 2017 from 5:00 - 9:00 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 322, 111 Hunt St, Ajax on Tuesday August 29 from 3:00 - 4:00 p.m. A celebration of John's life will follow from 4:00 - 8:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to John's favourite charity to which he volunteered as well, Mooseheart or Moosehaven.
