Passed away suddenly surrounded by loving family on Saturday, September 12, 2020 at 89 years of age. Devoted husband to his "superbride" Jean (née Collins), his loving wife of nearly 68 years. Dear father to the late Kevin (Dawn) McMullan and Sharron (Tim) Morris. Proud and loving "Poppa" to Chelsea (Rob) McMullan and Garrit Morris, two bright stars in his life. Brother to Elsie (the late John) Fry and Gary (Linda) Hewitt. John was a dedicated member of the Canadian Corps of Commissionaire for the majority of his career. He adored his family and it is with a heavy heart that we bid him farewell. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, a small, private family service will take place at Thornton Funeral Home in Oshawa. Donations can be made out to the Alzheimer's Society of Canada in memory of John.
