It is with profound sadness we announce the passing of John Gerard Megahey, on Sunday, September 3rd, 2023, in Toronto, after a lengthy illness at the age of 65.
John was born in Belfast, N. Ireland and came to Canada in 1973. John enjoyed motorsports, music and listening to late night Irish radio. John worked as a driver for Canada Post for 27 years. He would say his greatest accomplishment in life was his Son, John Patrick.
John is survived by his loving wife Christina and son John Patrick. Will be dearly missed by his sister Patricia and husband Danny Henry, their sons Danny Jr., Steven and Michael and their families; and by his Sister-In-Law Amber Simas and family.
John is predeceased by his parents Patricia and Francis Megahey, his brother Desmond, Aunt Vera and Tommy Reid of Ireland. In Laws Frances and Jim Simas, of Toronto.
John will be missed by many cousins, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends in Canada and Ireland.
