John, beloved husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, and friend passed away unexpectedly May 9, 2024 at North York General Hospital.

John is predeceased by his mother, in 1995, and his sister in 2012.

He is survived by his loving wife, of 70 years, Shirley Gee (nee Chiu), his children and their respective spouses, Peter, Raymond (Twyla), Ronnie, Michael (Holly) and Cathy, his 4 grandchildren, Christopher (Linda), Jordan, Indiana, and Casey, and three great grandchildren, Orchid, Spencer and Chrissyn, and nephew, Shawn and Dwayne.

He was born in China, and immigrated to Canada in 1955, and settled in Sudbury, Ontario. Working as a waiter for many years, and in the early 70s, opened the Orient Chinese Restaurant with 9 others, working as a cook until he retired in the late 80s

He will be greatly missed by family and friends
