In memory of

John Edwards

June 5, 1938 -  August 3, 2024

It is with great sadness and relief that we announce the passing of our beloved husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother and uncle - John Edwards, age 86, of Toronto, on Saturday August 3rd, 2024, after a long and courageous battle with Dementia and Alzheimer's disease.

John was born on June 5th, 1938, in Aberdeen Scotland. He graduated from Danforth Tech in Toronto and had a lengthy Sales Executive career at IBM. Once retired he became the Membership Director at his beloved Scarboro Golf Club, as well as being a long-time golfing member.

John’s world was filled with playing rugby, hockey, skiing and most of all golf. He relished organizing annual golf trips, and his ability to make everyone laugh with his keen story telling will be fondly remembered.
John is survived by his loving wife of 44 years Zosia; son Mike (Karen); daughter Susan (Jeff); Loving Grandfather to Chantelle, Tyler, Courtney and Brittney and Great Grandfather to Blake, Boden, Weston and Maxwell; brother to Robert (Noreen); brother-in-law to Genya (Stephen) and Stevie (Helen); as well as uncle to numerous nieces and nephews.

A private small family service will be held, with plans for a celebration of life to follow later in the year.
