In memory of

John D. Condos

February 8, 1964 -  April 6, 2021

Peacefully at Toronto’s St. Michael’s Hospital in his 58th year after a series of serious linked medical issues accelerated his untimely passing. Survived by his devoted father, Dennis, sister Cathy (Claude) and nephew, Christopher. Predeceased by his loving mother, Irene Condos, and his dear grandparents, John & Tula Condos and Karl & Anne Korchynski.

John was the inspiration for Sinatra’s “My Way.” He had an unfailing enthusiasm for life and friends and his cousins. His best memories included family get-togethers, his mother’s cooking, bringing friends home for dinner and the many good times he shared with like-minded souls, like Sarah Imrisek. He loved music, good sound, old movies, writing and inflicting his personal views on pretty much anything to whomever was nearby. While he was no push-over and could be abrasive, he was generally saved by his infectious laugh and relentless sense of humour. Nothing saved him however from his well-earned reputation as a meticulous neat freak.
Private funeral and interment at Mount Pleasant Cemetery, 375 Mount Pleasant Road on Saturday, April 10 at 11 am. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Salvation Army would be appreciated.

I was so saddened to hear of John's passing. I always looked forward to seeing and talking with him at family gatherings in the days of yore. He was such an easy and candid conversationalist. Our heartfelt condolences to Dennis, Kathy, Claude and Christopher.

I would be honored to have had an opportunity to speak during the celebration service in your honor this this day. However, despite my relentless attempts and perseverance to cross over the border, I am deeply saddened to report that I am unable to personally attend today’s funeral and memorial service.
It was my utmost pleasure and privilege to have had several opportunities to personally speak with you since last November. Our calls were without judgment, prodding and nothing absent beyond love and well wishes.
Johnny, you will be forever in my thoughts and heart.
Much love,
Angela
