John, or as many of us on three mile like knew him as, Mr. B, was larger than life. He had a giant personality, was kind, observant, friendly and extremely hospitable. This man taught generations how to waterski, to have fun on the lake and how to make an excellent camp fire. We all have numerous memories growing up around he and his family every summer. Seeing his smiling face on the cottage veranda was something that always warmed my heart. His memory will stay with me forever and I pray for the entire Bovenizer family to have strength during this difficult time. He was a true treasure and will be dearly missed. Sending all my love to the entire family.
It was with great sadness I heard that this wonderful gentleman had passed.
Our families grew up on this street and John was the last original owner of number 15.
It was in 1957 that my parents moved in, and became longtime friends and neighbours.
My dad, Jack Hilder, along with #14, neighbour Tony Siwak would spend hours in talk, helping one another or just enjoying a beer over the many years ..
My condolences to the Family, he so much love talking about, all his kids, grandkids greatgrand kids... John, you be missed.
He was the Best of the Best!
Barb and my thoughts are with you and the family.
My deepest sympathy to the Bovenizer family on the loss of their father/grandfather.
