In memory of

John Anastasiou

July 24, 1969 -  July 5, 2022

John Anastasiou, 52, passed unexpectedly on July 5th, 2022. He is remembered in celebration for his immense generosity and gentle heart. A proud father of his son Nicolas, whom he raved lovingly about, and a revered brother, uncle, son, and friend to all. John has imprinted a legacy on this world through his unparalleled love of music, which he willingly and passionately shared with those close to him. There isn't a single Jimi Hendrix, Jethro Tull, or The Who album that can be played without him in mind. His eldest niece and nephew credit their appreciation of eclectic music to his patient teachings. With a contagious laugh that resonated peace and joy to the most tense of rooms, John was a light to many. Please join family and friends as we celebrate our Yianni, the gifts he graced upon this world, and the bravery he boldly embodied day to day.

Please feel welcome to post your photos and memories of John here. Funeral, Mass, and Interment will be exclusive to close family. Thank you for respecting grieving family members and their wishes during this incredibly difficult time. A celebration of life will be held for close friends.

Forever in our minds and hearts. Your humour and kindness along with your desire for peace will be my takeaway from our friendship, John. The annual fellas get together just won't be the same anymore. I'll raise a glass and save you a seat in your honour. You will always be in our thoughts. Shine on. Peace out, Jim-John.
