John Alan Mills, age 71 of Etobicoke Ontario, born in Fulham, England on March 3,1948 passed away at Malton Village Long Term Care Facility on Thursday evening after a long struggle with declining health. The family thanks the staff for the excellent, compassionate care provided especially during the last weeks of his battle.

Son of Reginald Mills and Anna Mills (Palczwiecz), husband of Gwen Mills (Barr), father to David Mills and Danielle Jackson and grandfather to Violet and Sean Jackson-Mills. Father to Katie (Maginn) and Drew Maginn and grandfather to Juliet Maginn.
John worked many years for Toronto Hydro in the Overhead section as a lineman and later on as a labourer. As a young man, John was an avid athlete excelling at fastball and basketball. He remained an enthusiastic sports fan until the end.
