It is with great sadness the family of John Alan Jeffreys announce his sudden passing at Markham Stouffville hospital on March 10, 2022 at the age of 80 years. He will be sadly missed by his loving wife of 58 years Margaret, sons Mark (Diane), Stuart (Florence) and Brett (Kathryn). Fondly loved and admired by his grandchildren – Sarah, Caitlin, Matthew, Riley, Harrison, Marlowe and Noa. Leaving to mourn the family from which he was born are his brothers Ken (Iris) and Mike (Iwona), sisters-in-law Roz, Susan (Doug), brothers-in-law John (Leslie), Peter and special friends Bob, Ray, Ann, Heather and a large circle of extended family and friends. He was predeceased by his parents’ Arthur and Rose, in-laws Fred and Ada, and brother Bob.

John was a budding artist that many of us had the pleasure of receiving his gifts of paintings. He picked up playing piano at the age of 75 and provided us many enjoyable evening listings to his progress as a musician. He loved life and was always there to lend a hand whether it be replacing a floor, putting up a fence, or planting a garden which was one of his favorite pastimes’. Family was his life and he became a Dad, Grandad, Brother and Uncle to many that were not related by blood.

Services for friends and family will be on Thursday March 17 at The Simple Alternative Funeral Centre at 1057 Brock Road in Pickering. A visitation will be from 1:30pm to 2:30pm, a few words will be spoken at 2:30pm followed by a Celebration of Life Gathering between 3:00pm to 4:00pm.
