In memory of

Joel Vincent Brown

January 19, 1972 -  May 23, 2022

Joel Vincent Brown died unexpectedly of a heart attack on May 23, 2022 at the age of 50.
Joel is survived by his beloved wife Rachelle, his precious children, Emmett and Everly, his father, Harvey Brown, his mother, Barbara Steele and her husband Jack Steele, his sister Paula and her husband Alan Cunningham, his niece, Kate, and nephew Liam Cunningham, his mother-in-law, Rebecca and brother-in-law, Matthew Amyotte, and his many loved relatives in Ontario and Nova Scotia.

Joel was there when you needed him. He was a caring and devoted husband and an incredible father. He loved playing board games with family, watching the kids participate in all of their extra-curricular activities and always made time for science experiments and tickles. His children were his pride and joy.

He was a wonderful son and brother, always taking the time to call and share a laugh or a story. Joel had many friendships that held strong over decades. He and his wonderful friends spent quality time together at concerts, cottages and sharing laughs over a few beers. He was a dedicated MiWay employee and loved being a Bus Operator.

He is missed tremendously by all who knew and loved him.

You are invited to share any memories you have of Joel in this digital keepsake book: https://www.forcedjoyproject.com/story-submissions

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to help the Brown family. All donations will go towards funeral expenses and Emmett and Everly’s education fund. https://www.gofundme.com/f/7wndw-the-brown-family?qid=026860c694f863d489548eae13d13bef

I will miss my son so much. It is hard to imagine my life without him in it. He was a great son, husband, and Father. My heart breaks for Rachelle and Emmett and Everly. Two little ones without a father. Joel just delighted in everything they said and did. He lived for his family. I am so proud of the man that he became, I only wish it lasted longer. Love you Joel!

Oh Barb, I’m so very sorry. Having lost a child myself I know there aren’t words or thoughts or prayers that can take the pain away and sorry just doesn’t seem to cut it.😞😞

Rachelle,
Hold tight to memories for comfort, lean on your friends for strength, and always remember how much you are cared about.
Just know that my arms are wrapped around you during this time of loss. You are in my thoughts and prayers in your time of sorrow.
