In memory of

JoAnne King

January 17, 1933 -  January 6, 2021

It is with great sadness we say goodbye to JoAnne King (Clough) who passed away peacefully in her sleep after a determined fight to recover from a fall and fractured hip and the complications that followed. She was at home and surrounded by love. She is now in the care of her loving husband, George, to share eternity together.
JoAnne is survived by her devoted daughter Samantha King, her beloved sisters - Doreen Harvie (Australia), Peggy Moodie (England) and Dolores Lee (Canada) and a large extended family and predeceased by her sister Nina Dickey (Canada).
JoAnne made friends wherever she went, loved shopping and any social gathering. She volunteered at the Trillium Hospital, Queensway location for many years, taking special care to ease the worries of those waiting for surgery and having fun with the people she worked with. She had a lifetime love of dogs with the ongoing joke she fed her dogs better than she fed herself. She was strong, proud and very loving...and we will miss her.

In lieu of flowers, donations in JoAnne’s memory can be made to the CNIB Guide Dog program.

Please leave a message in the guestbook and share your stories and memories of JoAnne. You can also upload a photo to the album..

An online memorial service is planned to celebrate JoAnne's life Saturday January 23rd @ 11 a.m. E.S.T. Contact Samantha at tayledras@rogers.com with your e-mail address for an invitation and if you have a memory to share. or just see the Memorial section below to join us.

Aunty Joan was such a lovely lady who lived an amazing life. We are so sad that we won’t be able to see her again later in the year, Covid permitting. Snuggle up to uncle George xxx

Mom was like the mother I lost. Her heart was open to me. I adored this woman as much as anyone knows. She was great at a conversation about something she believes in. When mom's mind was set nothing you said would budge her. I will miss her. We will meet again mom.!!!!
