In memory of

Joanna Piccolo

June 1, 1959 -  February 16, 2021

It is with a broken heart, I sorrowfully announce the passing of my loving, caring and beautiful wife for over 37 years, Joanna Mary Piccolo, (nee Fercik) June 1, 1959 to February 16, 2021. Joanna valiantly and bravely fought cancer for over 12 years. She was always very optimistic, never complained and was a true fighter. We shared a beautiful and wonderful life together travelling and enjoying each and every day. People were drawn to Joanna and her laughter and warm smile could brighten up any room! Having been in the hospital from March 27 to August 10 2020 due to a broken leg, Joanna decided to come home to live out the rest of her days as her cancer had progressed. She passed away quietly in her sleep with her husband by her side.
Cremation has taken place. She has left this world to be reunited with her parents, Helen and Joe Fercik, her grandparents John and Helen Slosiar and her father in law, Philip Piccolo.
Left to mourn are her loving and caring husband Michael A. Piccolo, mother in law and good friend Irene Piccolo, brother-in-law Steve (Barbara) Piccolo and their family niece Lisa Maye her children Morgan and Kameron, niece Michelle Piccolo-Dobbs (Matt) and their children Melody and Mason, sister-in-law Lynn(Stan) Malecki, brother-in-law Philip (Lisa) Piccolo.
Memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Canadian Mental Health Association would be greatly appreciate by the family.
Visitation 11:00-12:00, service 12:00 to 1:00 , Saturday March 6, at the Simple Alternative, 1535 South Gateway Rd, Mississauga 905-602-1580. Due to Covid only 10 people are permitted. Virtual presentation is accessible by going to www.etouch.ca

I’m so sorry for your loss Michael. We never had the chance to see each very often, what I do remember is the fondness my Dad and Mom had for Joanna!

Michael,

Fran and I send our deepest condolences to you on the passing of Joanna recently.

We know how difficult t must have been for you for the last 12 years knowing that her cancer would someday take her away from you.

You can take solace in knowing that you had a wonderful life together and her memories will be with you forever.

Michael,
My heartfelt condolences to you on the passing away of your dear wife Joanna. I met Joanna at your dad's funeral service at this same place. She was gently sitting by the side of your mom comforting her. May her soul rest in eternal peace. No words of comfort will take away your grief and sorrow but the comfort of knowing that she is free and without any pain and the comfort of meeting her once again in our Heavenly Father's house is the greatest comfort ever. I pray that the Holy Spirit will continue to comfort you in your grief and that the precious moments that you both spent with each other will keep Joanna alive in you.

Much Prayers,
Joy D'Penha
