Joan Wright

WRIGHT, Joan
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Joan Wright (nee Bell). Joan came to Canada from England as a teenager in the 1950's and first settled in Saskatchewan. She later made her way to Toronto, attracted to life in a big city. Joan took a job at an engineering firm where she met a dashing young engineer named James Wright. They married and settled in Don Mills where they raised four children. Joan was very kind and loving with a great sense of humour. She loved animals and her home was always full of a multitude of pets. Joan loved to sing and dance. She had an entrepreneurial spirit and encouraged her children in all their business ventures. Her smile was radiant and she lived her life to the fullest. Joan is predeceased by her husband, Jim and is survived by her children, Leslie, Eileen, Jared and Jennifer, sons-in-law, Todd, Bob and Wayne and her grandchildren, Sarah, Rob, Connor, Erin, Charlie and Ryan. Visitation will be held on Monday, Sept. 19, 2016 from 1-3 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. at the Mount Pleasant Funeral Centre, 375 Mount Pleasant Road (east gate entrance). The funeral Mass will be held Tuesday, September 20, 2016 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Bonaventure Catholic Church, 1300 Leslie St. followed by interment and reception at Mount Pleasant Funeral Centre. .

So few touch our life with enduring smiles, laughter and love as you so gave us all. Your children my cousins I am sad at your loss. However as children and as cousins were all lucky to have been blessed one of the Bells as our parents.

Aunt Joan, thanks for all the courage you showed the past years with a smile and laughter during our conversations, magnified even in a whisper. Last missed you by a day but you will be forever be a part of my memories.

I heard the last Bell, but the Bells will ring on forever. Love Chris

With heartfelt condolences to Leslie, Eileen, Jared and Jennifer. Your Mom will be sorely missed by all who knew her. She was more than just an Aunt, she was a good friend and I was privileged to spend some time with her a couple of years back at her home in Toronto. Her love of life, her smile and laughter will remain with all her family forever. Rest in peace dear Joan, your battle is now over.
Lovingly remembered by Dave and Val from across the sea in the Eastern Cape South Africa
