Joan Quibell

December 13, 1925 -  July 26, 2022

Passed away peacefully at Port Perry Place on Tuesday, July 26, 2022, at the age of 96. Predeceased by her dear husband, of 38 years, Ray. Loving mother of Ann (Mike). Very proud grandmother of Michael (Michelle), Kristina and Dianne and Christopher. Adored great grandmother, known as GG, of Emily, Julia and Ben. She will be lovingly remembered by her nieces and nephews Tim, Janet, Carol and Roger and her many other family members and friends. Joan was an avid Blue Jay’s fan and also spent much of her time at the Whitby Seniors’ Activity Centre where many fond memories were made. A celebration of life will be held on Wednesday, August 10, 2022 between 12 pm and 2 pm at THORNTON FUNERAL CENTRE, 1200 Thornton Road North, Oshawa, 905-579-6787 (South of Taunton Road, enter through gates off Dryden Blvd.). In memory of Joan, donations can be made to the Durham Region Humane Society or a charity of your choice.

I am so sorry to hear of Joan’s passing.
Joan and l went to Montreal (via train) to visit Expo67 and had a great time viewing the different exhibitor’s booth and thoroughly enjoyed their unique displays and/or treats if available and/or offered.
Joan had a wonderful personality and we got along very well, l am truly sorry about her passing.
