Moravek, Joan (Jon) of Toronto passed away peacefully in her sleep on August 29, 2022 at the age of 91. She was the loving daughter of the late Steve and Rhoda Moravek. She was predeceased by her beloved sisters Leona and Carol, and brothers Noel and Gary. She will be lovingly remembered by her brothers Florian and James, many nieces and nephews and their families.
Jon was a painter and appreciated many forms of art. She loved to knit hats and scarves and gifted them to everyone she knew and loved. She enjoyed baking and sharing her famous "rocks", lemon and apple pies, and cakes. Jon cared about people and often helped others. She will be remembered as a person who loved the company of family and friends, and appreciated art, gardening, theatre, opera, classical music...and shopping!
We will truly miss the sparkle in her laughter and her heartfelt conversations. Eternal memory.
Burial of her ashes will take place at 10:00 am on Saturday September 24, 2022 at Beechwood Cemetery, 7241 Jane Street, Concord, ON
