My dearest sympathies to you and your family. I am glad I met Joan when we took our boys for their swimming lessons. May she finally be at peace.
Dear aunt Joan, I will miss you. The love and kindness you showed me growing up, all those visits to Mississauga with you and uncle Raymond, I will never forget. Thank you for the massive role you played in shaping me into person I am today. There was a wee man at the baseball game, behind him someone kept calling ‘Steve’….
Love always,
Joey

Dear Ashley, Ryan, and family,
I feel very blessed that I ran into your mum and dad at a Tim Horton's 7 years ago. We stuck up a conversation that turned very quickly into a fast and memorable friendship. In fact, we met at least once a week if not more from then on and we shared many a lunch or coffee at Tims from that day forward.
I really doubt that your mum ever met anyone that stayed a stranger for long. Her genuine big heart and easy-going laughter was front and center from her first hello. I truly fell in love with how sweet they were with each other and the fact that they held hands walking to and from anywhere they went. .......something you never see these days.
Your mum had so many sayings, but I use to laugh every time she would look at me and smile and either roll her eyes or give me a wink and say..... "Wait for it" .......and then your dad would say something silly. They finished each other's sentences more often than not, and then they would both start to laugh.
I used to call your mum Joany Baloney and she would laugh and say " that's me love" and we shared many a good time over a coffee and exchanging stories with one another.
I am thankful that I had a visit with them just a few weeks ago and got to give your mum a kiss on her forehead and tell your mum one last time what a sweet girl she was and call her Joanyi Baoloney one last time.
Joany Baloney was always authentic, genuine, and interested in everything and everyone around her. Your mum will forever remain in my heart as one of the sweetest ladies I have ever had the good fortune to have known. How lucky am I?
My condolences to all, remembering Joan with love .............
