It is with deep sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of our beautiful, beloved, and vibrant Mom, Joan Franks. Remembered lovingly by her children, Harvey (Keri), Linda (Peter), and Murray (Josephine) and her grandchildren, Zach, Austin, Alex, Brandon, Jordan, and Avery. She was predeceased by her husband, Peter Franks and son, Scott Franks. Joan was a devoted wife and mother with an adventurous spirit. Born in the UK, she adopted Canada as her homeland. She travelled extensively in Europe, United States, Mexico, and coast
to coast throughout Canada. She was a hiker, horse-back rider, skier, zip-liner, storyteller, and an example to all who loved her. As the matriarch of the Franks family, she offered a wealth of context derived from her 95 years of life experience. As was her wish, Joan was cremated. After her interment, we look forward to celebrating Joan’s life with family and friends at a later date.
