In memory of

Joan Elizabeth Anne Hunjan

March 28, 1951 -  November 26, 2024

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Joan Hunjan after a hard-fought battle with pancreatic cancer. Joan passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 26th, 2024, with her family by her side. She is survived by her husband, Balbir, children, John (Meaghan) and Amar (Lion), and her three grandchildren, Adalyn, Selena, and William.

Joan's kindness, empathy, and resilience were emphasized in the way she looked out for others, always going out of her way to make them happy. She could light up a room just by walking into it; whether through small acts of kindness or her warm smile, she made the world a better place simply by being a part of it. Beyond her devotion to her family, Joan enjoyed reading and gardening, but her greatest joy came from watching her grandchildren play by the lake at the cottage.

Hardworking and determined, Joan was incredibly supportive of her husband Bal, and their family business. Her reliability and dedication to her work and employees created an immense legacy to which we can all strive to follow.

Joan was an amazing mother, wife, aunt, cousin, sister-in-law and friend. She will be missed dearly by all her loved ones.
