With great sadness, we announce the peaceful passing of Joan DeFreitas-Bastien on January 21st 2021.

Born and raised in Sangre Grande, Trinidad and Tobago, Joan migrated to Canada as a young woman with her family. For her 73 years she was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sibling, aunt and friend. She touched the lives of many and will be missed by all.

The funeral service of our beloved Joan will take place on Tuesday 26 January 2021 at 3:00 pm EST/4:00 pm AST (Toronto and Trinidad times respectively).

Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, a restriction on the number of guests has been imposed. This event is invitation only. All guests must wear a mask or face covering.
