It is with deep love and sadness that we announce the passing of Joan Dashkin, who left us peacefully on the morning of September 14, 2025, at the age of 98.
Joan was a kind-hearted and empathetic woman whose greatest joy was her family. She will be dearly missed by her children, Margo, Lisa, and Jeff; her daughter-in-law, Stephanie; her grandchildren, Madison, Layla, Meagan, and Benjamin; as well as her extended family, particularly the Braudy family, who offered her such wonderful love and support throughout her life.
The family extends their heartfelt thanks to the staff at Southlake Village for the wonderful care and compassion they provided to Joan during her time there.
A celebration of Joan’s life will be held at a later date. For those who wish to honor her memory, donations may be made to the Toronto Humane Society, as Joan had a lifelong love of animals.
