Sadly missed never forgotten the toughest women I know. And so happy to have met you 20 yrs ago at antonys salon ...
Joan was amazing and much loved. I’m grateful for the times I got to spend in her company. Prayers for the family. I know how hard this is. Love for you all.

Joan....😥
I am so lost for words right now as I’m sure many are. You were such an amazing person. So full of life. You were the smile at work even when things got a little frustrating. I remember your pep talks at work when I needed advice. You’ve been going through so much yourself but still pushed every single day. Your battle is now over. May the roads rise up to meet you. May the wind be always at your back. May the sun shine warm upon your face. The rains fall soft upon your fields and until we meet again. May God hold your hand in the palm on his hand. 💙💙 Gone, but never forgotten. Until we meet again, Joan.

In the short time that I was privileged to meet and know Joan I could tell that she was a woman with a kind heart. When I first came to Canada with Clayton McElrath to meet his daughter Keelin, she welcomed me, and made me feel at home, and although a small, petite woman, I could tell she had a fiery, feisty side. I could see she loved her family dearly, as is evident by her courageous battle with cancer over the years, wanting to remain ever present in their lives. I know she will be missed greatly by all who knew her. Thank you for making me feel welcome in your lives.
