It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of Jo-Ann Filion on Easter Sunday just before sunrise. Beloved wife of David Buchanan and loving mother of their son Christopher. Jo-Ann’s memory will be cherished by her sister Lorraine (Danny Staver), brother Shaun, John and Heather Buchanan, Eddie and Wendy Buchanan, Peggy and Gary Gaudin, Frances and Donald Macintyre and many nieces, nephews and friends. Predeceased by her parents Leo and Daisy Fillion, her sister Margaret Filion, brother-in-law Rob and his spouse Valerie.

Many thanks for the caring professionalism of the R.S. McLaughlin Durham Regional Cancer Centre at Lakeridge Health in Oshawa and the Ajax-Pickering Palliative Care Team. A service will be held at the Simple Alternative Funeral home, 1057 Brock Road, Pickering, on April 21st at 1:00 pm. Visitors are welcome to join a gathering up to one hour prior to the service.
