In memory of

Jessie Booth McGrath

December 3, 1923 -  May 30, 2022

It is with heavy hearts we say our goodbyes to the matriarch of our family. Early on the morning of May 30, 2022, in her 99th year of life, she passed through heaven’s gates and received her angel wings.

A mother, a wife, a sister, a friend and a grandmother blessed with 5 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren she was able to know and love.

She will be deeply missed but we will remember her for her love and generosity; for her strength and her spunky spirit.

She loved to dance and loved music. She often played Scottish folk songs on the piano for us to sing and dance to. She shared her gift equally with friends, family and passers-by; always hoping to make just “one person happy”.

We are beyond grateful to Tiga and the many years she cared for ‘Grandma Jessie’ as if she were her own grandmother.

We are grateful to the compassionate team of nurses at Ajax Hospital who ensured she remained comfortable in her final days.

The family also extends their sincere appreciation for the care provided by the staff and administration of Bay Ridges L.T.C.H.

Goodbye Grandma.
Until we meet again.

If you would like to make a donation in memory of Grandma Jessie, the family would appreciate all donations being made to the Canadian Alzheimer's Association or the Canadian Heart and Stroke Foundation.
