Margaretha (Marg) Gerdina Jelsma, 69, of Toronto, passed away on May 24th 2019 in Toronto.

The family would like to welcome you to honour her memory with a Celebration of Life,
at 1-4pm Thursday, May 30th 2019 at
The Simple Alternatives 275 Lesmill Rd, North York, ON M3B 2V1

Memorial service will be held
at 2pm Friday May 31st 2019 at
First Christian Reformed Church of Toronto 67 Taunton Rd, Toronto, ON M4S 2P2,
with Thyra VanKeeken officiating.

Marg was born in Utrecht, The Netherlands to Marrigje and Dirk Verbeek on Dec 17, 1949. Marg was a loving spirit who touched the lives of everyone she met. She took pride in always helping others and was an award winning educator, Marg was a loving wife and a dedicated mother, talented artist and avid nature lover.

Marg is survived by her husband: William Jelsma (Bill); Children: Amanda, Michelle and Debbie; brother and sisters: Dirk Verbeek, Judy Wieman, and Betty Van Vliet; Grandchildren: Samantha and Jordan Pires

As an alternative to flowers, the family encourages friends and family to make a donation to the Canadian Cancer Society www.cancer.ca

Bill, Michelle, Amanda and Debbie - our hearts are broken to learn of Marg’s passing. Marg lived every day with compassion and kindness for others and with a fun loving joie de vivre. She made a difference to the many children she worked with, to those she helped in her business and to all of her friends and family. We are blessed to have had Marg in our lives and will miss her dearly. May the many happy memories you have help to sustain you at this difficult time.
