In memory of

Jean Suey Kim Quan

October 30, 1927 -  December 4, 2017

It is with deep sadness we announce the passing of Jean Quan on December 4th, 2017 . She had courageously battled pancreatic cancer for 21 months and had recently celebrated her ninetieth birthday . Predeceased by her beloved husband, Tom , she is survived by her son, Guy, daughter, Gaye and three grandchildren, Brian, Stephanie and Amy. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She is greatly missed. Our family is grateful to the caring professionals at Sunnybrook who looked after Jean, and we are especially thankful for the comfort provided by the palliative care team during her final days .

Grandma Jean : you had shown us so much affection and love through out your life. We shall miss so much of your laughter and hugs. We will never find the same cookies and ceramics that made with so much " heart" in them. You will always be remembered as a role model grandma, a loving mother and a kind elder! May God bless and comfort your family in this time of sorrow. We are so honoured to be part of your family.......in heaven we shall meet......

Your Mom's smiling face and sunny disposition will be missed on earth but are a welcome addition in Heaven. I hope that your Mom, Aunt May and my Mom are all enjoying a game of Mahjong together!

Our Aunt Jean lead a full life. Likewise, she was always full of life. The ever fearless optimist, nothing could stop her. Any hardships were just a speed bump. Now our dear Aunt Jean has continued her journey elsewhere. We are not without her. Her positive encouragement resonates and her spirit will live on in those she touched. She taught us that the world doesn’t owe us a living, more that we should make the most of the life we are living.
Thank you, Aunt Jean for your love and life lessons. We are so fortunate to have had you touch our lives.
