Obituary for Jean Sau Chun Chong

Chong, Jean Sau Chun (nee Wu)
September 13, 1936 – July 30, 2020

The family of Jean Chong wishes to announce the passing of our mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt, and cousin on the morning of Thursday, July 30th, 2020. She is now at peace pain-free and with our dad.

Jean is predeceased by her parents Mr. Wu Wen Kwan and Mrs. Wu Mei Fong and her spouse of over 55 years Mr. Kan Shek Chong. She is survived by her four children and their spouses Danny (Ada), Philip (Wendy), Sue, and Ken (CoCo)., her grandchildren Simon (Cynthia), Robyn, Sara, Kellie, Adam and Aaron, great-grandchild Felix, her siblings Jacob and Anna and their spouses and the many nieces, nephews, and cousins in Canada and abroad.

Jean worked hard along with dad to support the family and she lived to love and support family and friends. A funeral service will be held for Jean on Tuesday, August 4th with a 10 am viewing and 11 am service at York Cemetery. To leave condolences for the family, please click on 'Sign the Guestbook' below.

She had spent the last 20 years enjoying time with dad until his passing 8 and a half years ago. Family was most important to her and spending time with her immediate and extended family helped sustain her in these later years.

REST NOW DEAR JEAN
