In memory of
Jean Elizabeth Webster
Jean Elizabeth Webster (MacDonald)
1926-2018
Passed away gracefully and surrounded by love on January 26, 2018 in her 91st year. In her last few years of life this proud woman waged a courageous battle with Alzheimer’s disease.
Jean is survived by her husband, Douglas William Webster, beloved daughter Lisa, son-in-law Michael and cherished granddaughter Emelie. Jean loved greatly her dear nephew and nieces (Pauline, Grant, Karen, Kathy and Maggie), their partners, children & grandchildren (Jaci, Ron, Terry, Todd, Tyler, Darryl, Angus, Asha, Eric, Alethia and Neve).
Jean was so grateful for the wonderful companionship of her dear caregivers Amore, Amelo, Betty, Lyn and Sally. She has now been reunited with her much loved brother Tom MacDonald and sister Gwen Stricker, who predeceased her.
Alzheimer’s took a great deal from Jean in her later years, but her love of family & friends, fashion and socializing stayed with her even as her disease progressed. Her life was full of many blessings and love. She cherished her home town of Guelph where she made many true life-long friends. Throughout her life she did charity work, quilted, played tennis and followed football avidly. Jean had a passion for animals and nature. Hosting family and friends around the pool and the dinner table was very important to this special woman. It was a life well lived.
Jean and her family will be forever grateful to the staff at Bayview Extendicare for the excellent care she received during her 2 year stay there.
We will celebrate her wonderful life at her home church of over 50 years (Forest Grove United Church, 43 Forest Grove Drive, North York) on Saturday February 24, 2018 at 11:00 AM.
