In memory of

Jean Diane Ewell

December 31, 1945 -  April 29, 2025

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Diane Ewell, beloved mother to Lynn, Bill and Michael, on April 29. Born December 31, 1945, in Toronto, ON, she lived a life filled with love, laughter, and unwavering devotion to her family and close friends.

Diane was known for her warmth, generosity, strength, and kindness. She was a wonderful mother who was always there when we needed her the most, offering abundant support, wisdom, and love. A friend to many, Diane left behind a legacy of kindness and strength.

Her greatest joy was spending time with her loved ones, and she created countless cherished memories through family vacations, celebrating/decorating for the holidays like Victoria's Day, Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's, and sharing her hobbies of crocheting, baking, gardening, and her love of animals.

Diane is survived by her loving children, Lynn, Bill (Lisa) and Mike, and her cherished grandchildren, William and Willow. She was predeceased by her husband, Maurice (Moe).

A memorial service to celebrate Diane's life is being planned for the Summer (more details to come). In place of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to Princess Margaret Cancer Foundation or Toronto Humane Society in Diane's memory.

May she rest in peace, forever loved and remembered.

Diane was a very special lady! I will miss reaching out to her. It is a great comfort knowing she has joined Maurice and many other loved ones that went before her.

My condolences to you Lynn and to your family. I know you have been a devoted daughter for both your Dad and more recently for your Mom. Your Mom is described as warm, generous, strong, and kind, and she certainly instilled all of those qualities in you. You are in my thoughts - I know its very difficult.
