Being an engineer from IIT, Jayant was very intelligent, clever and analytic. At the same time he remained humble, cheerful and kind. He and his family helped us a lot when we first arrived in Toronto, many years ago. He welcomed us to his lovely home each time we visited and guided us from time to time as we assimilated into the Canadian way.

His commitment to honesty and to provide happiness to his family, while maintaining a scientific attitude was phenomenal. His dedication to his mother's well being until she passed away was exemplary. He was dedicated to culture and post his retirement, had developed a hobby to learn about day trading and openly shared his experience.

His ability to stay bold and brave under all circumstances including the recent times when he persistently fought hard to recover without ever complaining, has set the tolerance bar high for all of us. His zest for life kept him going through difficult times. While Jayant knew that he was a mortal like all of us, he did persevere to have all the perfect set of values and virtues in life.

He was a hero to all of us, someone we could look up to and I believe that just like me, there are many many more souls that he touched who remain grateful to him before he himself touched the face of God in heaven on that fateful evening of 28 Sep, 2020.

My family and I pray for his wife Charu, Amol and Aneesh and their families. They spared no efforts to take care of Jayant through many many ups and downs.

Dear Jayant, while it is difficult to imagine that you are no longer with us, we sincerely thank you and bid you good bye and pray that your soul shall rest in peace.
