After a brave battle with cancer, our family is saddened to announce the passing of our dear Janusz. Peacefully on December 24, 2023 at the Trillium Health Partners Credit Valley hospital.

Born January 1, 1941 in Poland. Janusz came to Canada in 1958 to secure a better future for himself and eventually his family. Janusz studied hard to learn English, he attended English school when he arrived in Canada- There he met and fell in love with his future wife, Edzia. Shortly after in 1960; they married. They have shared 63 years together- through navigating a new country, a new language and all the obstacles that come with being a newcomer- they found each other and together grew their family. Welcoming 3 children; Danusia, Krysia and Basia. Janusz is an adored grandfather to Natasha, Jakob, Nakita, Nathaniel, Aniela, and Maya.

He was an loving husband, father and grandfather. He was known for his incredible sense of humour. He was a hard worker, resourceful and intellectual – he could figure out how to fix almost anything. Janusz was kind-hearted and never hesitated to help his family. In his spare time you would find him tinkering with his model trains, playing Sudoku, watching his favourite movies or sailing the open waters. He loved to travel when he could, travelling to Europe and the Caribbean- when he stayed local- you could find him spending time with his family at the cottage.

Janusz will be truly missed by his family and his friends.
