Passed away peacefully on October 9, 2021 at Brampton Civic hospital, at the age of 95, after a courageous battle with cancer. Beloved sister to Krystyna Kustra (Edward). Cherished Aunt to Mark Kustra and Elizabeth Hrubesz (Marek) and to great-nieces, Gabriella and Kasia Hrubesz and Sydney Kustra.
Predeceased by her first husband Antoni Ochyra and second husband Stanisław Magier, her daughter Jane Jennings, her parents Bronisława & Stanisław Rzepkowski and sisters Julianna Rzepkowski and Helen Salbut.
Janina was born in Tymienica, Poland and immigrated to Canada with her young family. She overcame many adversities in life, but had a strong will to continue to move forward. Her sharp mind remained with her until her passing, even as her physical body failed her. After living many years in Oshawa and being a dedicated member of St. Hedwig's Rosary Society, she moved to Brampton to become a part of the Polish community in St. Eugene De Mazenod parish. She will be dearly missed by her family and many friends.
A Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, October 12, 2021 at 10:30am at St. Eugene De Mazenod church. Prior to the mass, a rosary service will be held at 10:00 am in the church. A private family service will follow at Resurrection Catholic Cemetery in Whitby.
In lieu of flowers, if desired, memorial donations to Bethell Hospice Foundation, Inglewood would be greatly appreciated.

So sorry to hear of Pani Jaszia's passing (Jane). She was a good friend to my mom Mary Telega, and we saw Jane often. Heartfelt condolences from our family to yours.
