Sincere condolences to Janet, Jack,Christie, Jackie, and all others to whom she was near and dear.
I will always cherish the memories of my dear Auntie Janet, who was also my Godmother, memories from long ago of Sunday visits, Christmases, family reunions, and especially, summers at the cottage. And more recently of my last visit with you, where your incredible sense of humour shone brightly as ever, no matter the failing health and memory.
You were one feisty lady, and an wonderful example of a life lived well!

I am so sad to know that Auntie Janet has passed on. Our condolences to you Jan and
Jack, Christie, Jackie and your extended family, including our own little group of "cousins". My childhood memories always (and still do) include her smiling face and great accent. I know that she and my dad (Thomas Cairns) spent time together
reminiscing about Scotland and how Auntie Janet always insisted that he looked like Rock Hudson. Auntie Janet was also my Godmother and I still have the silver dollar she gave to me that day. Jan, you and your family did an awesome jog of keeping her happy and healthy for so many years and though I know you will miss her terribly it is a blessing that she passed, in her own bed, with all of you there. She's at peace now, but don't ever think that she's not with you. I'm a firm believer that she's right there peeking over your shoulder and soon will be telling you to move on with the rest of your lives. She was a wonderful Aunt, a great lady with an honest sense of humour and a large awareness of love and the people who loved her. She will be greatly missed, but never forgotten. Love to all, Sue and Adriaan.

We will miss our dear Auntie Janet. She certainly aged with dignity and in her own way. We can all take life lessons from such a feisty strong willed woman with a positive outlook on life, a great love for her family and a wicked sense of humour. Everyone has their own special memories to think back on fondly. ♥️Always
Tammy, Rick, Liz, Nicki, and Kirsten
