SOYE, Jane (Jennie), 90, passed away peacefully at Centenary Hospital, on September 7, 2017 with family by her side. Jennie was born in Dublin, Ireland on July 25th, 1927 and immigrated to Canada in 1953. Her life was devoted to her family. She is predeceased by her cherished husband, Tom. She is lovingly remembered by her son, Brendan (Val) and grandchildren Kaitlin, Gavin (Emily), and Madelyn (Jérémie); daughter Joanne, and grandchildren, Jennifer Rolph (Jordan) great-grandchildren, Lydia & Jillian Rolph; Michael Drew (Maryse) and great-grandchildren, Löic and Eva Guévremont-Drew; Adam and Allison (Nathan) Drew; her son Desmond (Mary) and grandchildren, Conor (Alyssa) and Julia (Daniel) Soye; her daughter Lisa, and grandchildren, Justin & Éireann Heenan; and her son Brian (Liv), and grandchildren Malin & Vendela Soye. Also fondly remembered by JoAnne Soye, Alan Drew and Eamonn Heenan. Thank you to the staff of Centenary Hospital, in particular the nurses of Emergency Observation and 9th Floor Medicine, for your kindness and care. Visitation and Funeral Services will be held at Thornton Funeral Centre in Oshawa on September 11, 2017. In lieu of flowers, donations to Jennie’s charity of choice, the Alzheimer Society of Canada, would be appreciated.
