In memory of

Jane Ann Moodie Piasecki

October 23, 1918 -  June 9, 2019

Jane Ann Moodie Piasecki (nee Mochan) died June 9, 2019 in Toronto after living 100 full years . At the end, Mom was as gentle and calm as she had been all her life. Born in Dundee, Scotland October 23, 1918 she was the eldest of the 7 children of David Mochan and Jeannie Mochan (nee Edwards) .
Her working life began in Scotland as a teacher and she continued to teach in Canada until she became a school Principal with the Toronto Separate School Board.
She had a curious mind, loved to read about us human beings and how we came to be, and tried to understand this rapidly changing world around us. When she was able to, she loved to travel to places of interest such as Turkey, even in her 90th year.
We were able to celebrate the happy occasion of her 100 years of life in October 2018 with many of her family around her. Hearing about and seeing her grandchildren and great grandchildren gave her much pleasure in her final years.
Predeceased by her husband Mieczyslaw Z. Piasecki in 1969, her son Michael J. Piasecki ( Mariellen) in 1993 and grandson Gregory M. Leclair in 2017, she is survived by her children :Tony (Nancy) , Susan, Joan (Dave) and Peter (Francine and son Max). Survived by her grandchildren: Jennifer (Vance), Danielle, Michelle (Domenico), Taylor (Sarah), Adam, Lauren, Jessica (Chris), Claire (Matt), Kathleen, Cameron (Victoria), Matthew (Megan), Sebastian, and Jane.
Survived by her great grandchildren: Sienna, Olivia and Charlotte.
Also survived by the Hutt and Mochan families of Dundee, Scotland. She will be remembered fondly by all.

In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the charity of your choice.
