Gronkowski, Jan Leonard (Len Green)
Passed away on May 3, 2017 in Toronto. A beloved father to Linda Fremes (John Fremes) and Robert Gronkowski, and proud grandfather to his cherished grandson James Asher Fremes. An uncle to many nieces and nephews in Canada and abroad, and a wonderful friend to all who knew him. Born in Warsaw, Poland to the late Stanislaw and Jadwiga Gronkowski, Len's early life was adventurous, spanning the globe. In Canada, Len worked in the real estate business for over 35 years. A strong-willed athletic man, Len loved people and socializing. Known for his keen intellect, wry sense of humor and perpetual optimism, Len was a true renaissance man. Fluent in 12 languages and a voracious reader, Len ploughed through countless books in 8 different languages until his final days. Family and friends will be received at Mount Pleasant Funeral Centre, 375 Mount Pleasant Rd., east gate entrance, on Wednesday May 10th, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. Visitation will take place from 10:00 a.m. until time of service.
