In memory of

James Vincent Gentile

February 11, 1946 -  March 6, 2025

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of James Vincent Gentile, in his 79th year, on March 6, 2025. James passed away peacefully at Lakeridge Hospital, Oshawa.

Beloved husband of Jocelyne Gentile (Fournier), devoted father to Christine (Jim), predeceased by his son Vincent. Lovingly adored and remembered by his grandchildren Alexandra, Samantha and Ryan. Predeceased by his parents, Madeleine & Salvatore Gentile and siblings Gail Shore and Gerry Gentile. James will be missed by his many extended family, including his nieces and nephews, all of whom he held near and dear to his heart.

James flourished & enjoyed his British Sports Car business, Roadsport, and later became an accomplished carpenter. He enjoyed numerous hunting and fishing adventures over the years, including those with his family. His wittiness, sense of humour and straight forward attitude was the center of who he was. He will be truly missed.

In memory of James and in lieu of flowers, donations to Canadian Cancer Society would be greatly appreciated by the Family.

Thank you for loving me like a daughter when Vince passed, I was so young and grieving him hurt so much. You took me under your loving arms, made me feel so welcome, got me laughing again. Having family dinners together, just spending time with me is a something I’ll never forget! I will miss you for always and love you forever. I know that he was there to great you at long last. You two are probably kicking back, having a beer and joking around. Makes me smile. 🥰
