In memory of

James Sabourin

July 12, 1944 -  August 25, 2021

We are sad to announce the passing of James (Jim) Sabourin after a brief and courageous battle with cancer.

Left to mourn are his wife of 56 years, Lynda, sons Danny (Jennifer), and Jason (Tammy) and grandchildren, Rileigh, Hayleah, Brayden, Connor, Bria and Blaise.

Jim served with the Toronto Police Services from 1970-1996, retiring with the rank of Sergeant. As hockey was a deep passion of his, Jim was involved for many years in various capacities in multiple levels, leagues and age groups of hockey. He was also a faithful volunteer with The Salvation Army Hope Church & Community Services in Ajax.

It was Jim’s request that, in lieu of flowers, donations be made to The Salvation Army Ajax, 122 Hunt St L1S 1P5 and/or online at www.TSAHope.com. Service to take place privately.

I'll be short, but I could write so much but it's only a small portion of who he was to everyone. I didn't know him for very long and only in a few aspects of his life, but he left a mark on me. He was a compassionate, faithful, encouraging supporter for me. I really enjoyed listening to his stories that always had a learning curve to them, He was funny, he was caring, he was smart and very easy to like. To the whole family including Lynda, Dan, spouses and grandchildren, my prayers and heart is with you

James always greated people with a friendly smile, and a handshake. He was one of my favourite people.
