James Robert Preston
May 19th, 1932 – March 21st, 2021

It is with great sadness that we share the news of the passing of James Robert Preston, beloved husband, father, and grandpa. He was 88 years old and passed away peacefully on March 21st, 2021 in his home. He was born in Hitchin, England on May 19th, 1932 to Denzil and Alice. He is survived by his beloved wife, Marina, who was lucky enough to spend 65 great years married. He is also survived by his son, Nicholas and his daughter-in-law Farah. Lastly, he is survived by his granddaughter Maya.
James, also known as “Jim”, “Jimbo” or “Jimbob”, was the silent type, yet it spoke volumes. His many hobbies included painting, collecting teddy bears, enjoying coffee, completing newspaper crossword puzzles, and playing games online. His kind-hearted and intellectual personality will be missed; there were so many great conversations yet to be had.
He will be missed terribly by his family, as well as his community of peers in the building he lived in. After multiple issues regarding his heart, he is finally free of the pain and bodily stress. He joins his sister, Marguerite, as well as his pre-deceased family. It especially hurts to say goodbye during a time when we physically cannot express it, so a short and intimate funeral was held.
We miss you already Grandpa. Rest in peace.
