I will always remember Uncle Jimmy as dynamic, engaged, and present in every situation I found him. From the time I was a kid to when I became an adult, I always felt like he was paying attention to what I had to say and that he cared about whatever was going on in my life. When I was a turbulent teen staying in the house that he and Jamie owned, he often expressed care and concern that I was making the right choices for my life. And he did this with kindness and patience while he was going through an unspeakably difficult time. When I think of Uncle Jimmy, I see in my mind a smart, kind, sophisticated, yet down-to-earth man—one I was always a little bit in awe of. I have lots of good memories of him and will always hold him in my heart with the utmost respect and love. To the ones closest to him—especially his children and grandchildren—I offer my most heartfelt condolences.
