It is with great sadness to announce that on Saturday February 9, 2019, James (Jim) Mathew Schnerch passed away at Sunnybrook Hospital surrounded by family at the age of 77. He was predeceased by his mother (Katharine), father (Mathew) and wife (Jane). Loving father of James (Victoria), and loving fiancé (Marianne). Cherished by grandchildren Jack, Audrey and Hunter. Born in Red Lake, ON on December 23, 1941, James was 2nd of three children – his sister Sylvia (Moosejaw) and Eddie (Balmertown). James was an avid hunter and fisherman, and enjoyed all that the outdoors had to offer. As a retired electrician, he spent much of his free time going out on the water, or heading to the northern wilderness to go hunting and spend time with family. He loved going to the gun club on weekends where he participated in shotgun sports. He loved and cherished everyone around him, and he will be deeply missed by family and friends.
