Dimitri (Dimo, Jimmy) Diamantouros passed away peacefully on September 9, 2022 at Sunnybrook Hospital.
Dimitri was born in Karyes (Arahova) Laconia, Greece on February 21, 1935 to
Panagiotis Diamantouros and Zaharoula Diatzikis.
He was the oldest of four siblings.
Yiannis (Eleni Psihopedas), Georgia (George Xanthakos), and Christos.
Dimitri immigrated to Toronto, Canada in 1957, and made his living operating a number of restaurants and banquet halls with his brothers and brother-in-law.
In 1965 Dimitri married Kanella Giannakopoulos; they had three daughters Roula (Chris Bahaviolos), Mary (TonyTsampiras), and Patricia.

He was passionate about all things Hellene; history, language, culture and travel but above all, the horio, Arahova, his birthplace. It was his wish to visit Arahova one last time this summer despite his doctors warnings.

Rest in Peace our beloved father, husband, grandfather, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend to all.

You will be missed Theo. We will miss talking with you at the dinner table and your history lessons (where we learned more than we did in school). You were the best uncle and we were blessed to have had you in our lives. Rest in peace.

Adelphotis Arahoviton

On behalf of the Board of Directors and all members of the Adelphotis, we offer our condolences to the Diamantouros family for their loss. A great man, a very wise man, who was a valued and highly respected member of the Adelphotis. He was involved in all aspects of the Adelphotis from it’s early years, assisting in shaping the organization into what it has become. He wore many hats through the years as a member, serving as a member of the Board of Directors, as well as serving as President of the Adelphotis.
His presence at Karyai Park , meetings and functions will be greatly missed.

May God rest his soul

Καλό ταξίδι θείε Δήμο. You will always be remembered very fondly and stay in our hearts and minds forever. May your kindness and love for all, Arahova in particular, be prime examples of how a right and honourable person should live his life.

Our family was saddened to hear of the passing of our Theo and missing him this summer in the village. It is with a heavy heart we send our deep condolences and prayers to Thea, Roula, Mary, Patricia and families. Our childhood memories are filled with happy times together, learning to Greek dance in your basement, seeing the parents laughing, weddings, Greek dances and all together good times. He will be missed but has filled our hearts with love throughout our lives. Kalo Paradiso Theo Demo.
