KIVI, Jakob November 15, 1927 – June 11, 2019. Passed away peacefully at the age of 91 at Ehatare Nursing Home in Toronto. Born in Turbuneeme, Estonia, Jakob was the oldest of six children born to Arnold and Emilie Kivi. Predeceased by his beloved wife, Leida.

Jakob will be remembered as a loving father to Ingrid, Aili, Anita and Janet, grandfather to Rick, Michael, Lisa, Aleksander, Kristoffer, Monika, Victoria, Raia, Sierra and great grandfather to Sara, Matthew, Melissa, Marek, Brendan, Skyla and Phoenix. Jakob enjoyed spending time with his family and summers at the cottage. He will be dearly missed.

A celebration of Jakob's life will take place at York Funeral Centre, 160 Beecroft Rd., Toronto (north of Sheppard, west of Yonge St., 416-221-3404) on Tuesday, June 18, 2019 with visitation from 10 – 11 a.m. Funeral Service at 11 a.m. followed by interment at York Cemetery.

The family would like to thank the staff at Ehatare Retirement & Nursing Home for their kind and loving care of Jakob during his years there. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to St. Peter's Estonian Evangelical Lutheran Church of Toronto.
