Forever Loved

We are profoundly sad to announce the sudden and peaceful passing of our dearest husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother and uncle, Jimmy Lingad. Jaime Romeo Reyes Lingad was born in the Philippines and is son to late parents, Anastacio DeLeon Lingad, and Isidra Coronel Reyes. He was brother to Roberto Lingad and the late Arturo Lingad. He immigrated to Canada in 1975 together with his loving wife Juliet and daughter, Janice settling in Metropolitan Toronto. His longevity in the culinary industry as a demi-chef spanned 48 years starting at Sir Steer Tavern, Allen’s, Orso, Carnaby Café and his most recent and fondest, Café Nicole Bistro and Bar at Novotel Toronto Centre where he was just under a week shy of celebrating his 30th anniversary there. Jimmy not only loved God, music, concerts, movies, traveling, food and working, but he was also so happy and proud spending good times with his family especially with his darling great-grandsons, Justin, and Ronan. Jimmy will be forever loved and unforgettably missed by extended family members, colleagues, and most extremely by his dedicated wife, Juliet (and family), daughter, Janice (Ian and family), grandchildren Nicholas (Karen), Simon (Georgia), Jane-Lauryn and brother, Roberto (Juliet, Jasmine and Glancy). We would like to thank Toronto General Hospital for their outstanding care and God for giving us a happy bright light with a big heart and unforgettable smile that sparkled brilliantly throughout our lives. May Jimmy have eternal peace, rest and life. Amen.
