June 19, 1935 - November 6, 2022

On Sunday, November 6th, 2022, Jagranee Persaud also known as 'Moi' to her children, and 'Gran' to her grandchildren passed away. She was a loving partner to Basil Persaud and mother of eight children. Jagranee was a devoted hindu. She will be honored in a celebration of life starting on November 10, 2022 with visitation beginning at 4pm until 8pm. Her funeral service will begin on Friday, November 11, 2022 at 9am with a burial to follow at Elgin Mills Cemetery. A live stream of the service will be available at 8:50am on Friday, a link will be found at the top of this homepage.

Gran was always so kind to me. Always offering me tea and food. My last visit with her (years ago) gran attempted to show me how to make roti. She also excitedly told me she loves watching her cooking shows! Which reminded me of my uncle who also loved to teach me about food and took great joy in sharing that with everyone. People like this make life feel so light and simple. Thank you gran for always treating me like family. Will pass on the kindness you’ve always shown me as best I can. Lots of love to the Baijnath’s and all that loved gran. My thoughts and prayers are always with you. Especially now.
