In memory of
Jadranka Mesarovic
January 1, 1938 -
February 1, 2022
It is with great sadness and sorrow that we announce the death of Jadranka Mesarovic on February 1st, 2022 in Toronto, aged 84 years. A beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, she was a deeply spiritual and energetic woman who touched the lives of everyone she met with her thoughtfulness, kindness and light. As a young girl, she survived World War II, and went on to study literature and made a career as Serbian-Croatian language high-school teacher in Sarajevo. Her first priority in her life was her family, and she immigrated to Toronto in 1997 with her late-husband to be with her daughters and to help raise her grandchildren.
With her strong beliefs in positivity, visualization and manifestation, she lived her life never looking back, only looking forward. This strength and resilience from within her helped her overcome the many hardships in her life, like when she was separated from her children during the War of Yugoslavia.
Her honesty contributed to her fierceness as woman, she knew what she wanted and was not shy to speak up for what she believed. Throughout her life, she always made a point to give back, not only to her family and friends, but also to causes and charities that were close to her heart.
Continuously striving to learn more, and develop her many passions, including cooking, sewing, natural medicine, gardening, travel, astrology, psychology, it was important to her to pass on her knowledge to her loved ones. She encouraged people to follow their dreams, and she would make sure to sew them an outfit that was needed for the occasion, and to prepare their favourite meal for when they came home.
Her selfless nature and pure intention led her to create and maintain many deep connections to people throughout her life and made her a memorable person to everyone who crossed paths with her.
Those of you who knew her as Baka, knew that she was a social butterfly who never stopped smiling and was always ready to help, nothing was too hard for her. She cared and loved immensely and immeasurably all her family and friends and will forever be missed.
