YARRANTON, Jacqueline “Jacky”

Born somewhere in a corner of the Milky Way on June 20, 1951, Jacky was summoned back to her home planet on March 4, 2022 (Just kidding. Jacky loved her sci-fi). She was born in Camberwall, in Greater London, UK, passing peacefully away in North York, Ontario, Canada. Always quirky, always quick to root for the underdog, always with a book in her hands, always prepared for anything (hello Y2K!), she would never be called boring by anyone who knew her. Jacky leaves behind a sizeable crew including her children Andy, Brett, and Paula; a large handful of grandchildren including Tyler, Brennan, Ayden, Eric, Katie, Natasha, Grace, Austin, Charlie, Lucy, Ellie; and even some great grandchildren including Heidi, Payton, Lincoln, Kinsley, Lily, Colby, and Charlotte. She also leaves behind her sisters Lynda and Pauline, and their families, in England. In line with her wishes there will not be a public service. We appreciate all your thoughts and kind words during this difficult time.
In lieu of flowers please make a donation to the Diabetes Foundation (or even The Planetary Society, she would have loved that).

I hadn’t seen Jacky for years but thought of her often. She was kind hearted and I remember our friendship fondly.

Jacky I miss you so much, words can't even explain my emotions or my gratitude for all the wonderful times we had together or all the advice handed back and forth. I love you!!

As I write this note about Jackie . I remember that it is a note about Jackie and her life. This is what she meant to me.
50 years ago she was a vibrant, fashionable modern women that the world wasn’t prepared for. We would often say “well that’s Jack”. I was 15.
Jackie was someone I admired. She worked as a presidential secretary at Commercial Life. She had many friends. She helped find me a job and support her Brother Michael and I during our first years in Canada . She had a huge space in her heart for peoples differences, the stranger they were, she was like a candle to the flame. And we all accepted her for the way she was “that’s just Jackie” in the last few years she became my rock and support. We talked for hours till our ears were sore mostly about our children who she loved. She had cancer a few years back and now further complications. She never complained just one more thing was her expression . I was shocked and filled with sadness when I herd of her death and while I know she died peacefully I will selfishly miss our chats and her support . Rest peacefully Love Lesley
