With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Jack on March 23, 2025. He was a devoted husband to Pearl, a loving father to Zak (Sarah), Sacha (Samantha), and Sara (James), and a cherished Grandpa—to Jake, Knowl, and Hugh, Yeh Yeh to Remy and Frank, and Goo Goo to Charlie.
He was a beloved brother to Ray, Sue (Michael), and Jeannie (Ed)

A man of quiet strength and wisdom, Jack will forever be remembered for his calm presence, thoughtful guidance, and unwavering love for his family. He will be deeply missed but never forgotten.

A private celebration of his life with cremation to follow will be held at Elgin Mills Funeral Home (1591 Elgin Mills Rd E.) on Thursday March 27th. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that donations be made in memory of Jack to the transplant team at UHN.

Jack was a loving and caring man, who raised an amazing family. He will be missed by everyone who knows him and especially his family.
I remembered when we visited with my grandson William who was 8 months old all Jack did was babysit playing, hugging and talking to him. He was so kind and loving.
Jack was an excellent chef, who can whip up just veggies and made it delicious.
He also had a sense of humor, sorry Pearl you know what I’m referring to I had to say this, l can still hear him saying Pearly why are you fretting about the birds making a mess? you know they will do it again😊 I’m heartbroken for Pearl and family and for myself too🙏🙏🙏❤️❤️❤️

It was with profound sadness that we learned of Jack’s passing. Jack shared his deepest love for family along with his respect for those who were fortunate to know him. He had a quick smile with and a kind and humble spirit. He will be missed but never forgotten. We wish his family comfort during this difficult time. Rest in peace, dear Jack.
